Izmailovo Gamma-Delta Hotel Moscow

The enormous Izmailovo Gamma-Delta Hotel complex was built in 1979 on the site of the historic Izmailovo village and Royal Estate, where Peter The Great grew up, and renovated in 1998.

At one time this mammoth hotel complex included five buildings, making it Europe's largest lodging, with thousands of rooms. Now it's four hotels, Alfa, Beta, Gamma, and Delta, with the latter most commonly used by foreigners. A two-minute walk from the lively Izmailovsky flea market, this is a convenient place for the serious souvenir shopper.
